The villagers call it The Eating Woods because what’s taken is never returned. Only the banished dare to approach. Maevyth Bronwick knows better than to enter the misty labyrinth, but tragedy forces her beyond the archway of bones into a dark, fantastical world. There dwells Zevander Rydainn, the cursed lord of Eidolon—a cold-blooded assassin—tasked with hiding her from the magehood that seeks her death. Zevander must protect Maevyth, whose blood can break his curse. But his growing obsession with her threatens to destroy everything. Including himself. Eldritch An eldritch magic has awakened, turning the mortal world darker. Colder. Famished. But fate has woven a new web, tangling the threads of destiny, and crossing the mystical boundary to Aethyria might not be so simple. As the bones of Maevyth’s past are unearthed, and truths unravel with unsettling clarity, the possibility of never leaving Mortasia is becoming more of a reality. Unfortunately for Zevander, time is running out. The longer he stays in the mortal lands, deprived of essential vivicantem, the more he succumbs to the encroaching specter of madness. Or maybe those chasing shadows are someone hunting him. A wretched evil closing in, threatening to pull him into the darkest corners of his mind. Only, this time, Maevyth may not have the power to save him.26,99 £*Shipping: 2,99 £Secure redirect to the provider

Wordsworth Editions Great Horror & Fantasy 6 Books Collection Set – Dracula, Frankenstein & Classic Horror CollectionFrankenstein Frankenstein is the classic gothic horror novel which has thrilled and engrossed readers for two centuries. Written by Mary Shelley, it is a story which she intended would ‘curdle the blood and quicken the beatings of the heart.’ The tale is a superb blend of science fiction, mystery and thriller. Dracula 'There he lay looking as if youth had been half-renewed, for the white hair and moustache were changed to dark iron-grey, the cheeks were fuller, and the white skin seemed ruby-red underneath; the mouth was redder than ever, for on the lips were gouts of fresh blood, which trickled from the corners of the mouth and ran over the chin and neck. Even the deep, burning eyes seemed set amongst the swollen flesh, for the lids and pouches underneath were bloated. It seemed as if the whole awful creature were simply gorged with blood; he lay like a filthy leech, exhausted with his repletion. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde In seeking to discover his inner self, the brilliant Dr Jekyll discovers a monster. First published to critical acclaim in 1886, this mesmerising thriller is a terrifying study of the duality of man's nature, and it is the book which established Stevenson's reputation as a writer. The Turn of the Screw The Turn of the Screw is the classic ghost story for which James is most remembered. Set in a country house, it is a chilling tale of the supernatural told by a master of the genre. The Aspern Papers is a tale of Americans in Europe, a theme in which Henry James is at his most assured and accomplished. The author cleverly evokes the drama of comédie humaine against the settings of a Venetian palace. Collected Ghost Stories M.R. James is probably the finest ghost-story writer England has ever produced. These tales are not only classics of their genre, but are also superb examples of beautifully-paced understatement, convincing background and chilling terror. As well as the preface, there is a fascinating tail-piece by M.R. James, ‘Stories I Have Tried To Write’, which accompanies these thirty tales. Among them are ‘Casting the Runes’, ‘Oh, Whistle and I’ll come to you, My Lad’, ‘The Tractate Middoth’, ‘The Ash Tree’ and ‘Canon Alberic’s Scrapbook’. Fender Jazzmaster 3-Color Sunburst 1965 Vintage Electric Guitar Vintage Sunburst - RefurbishedMainland UK buyers ONLY. MORE PHOTOS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. This is a stunning vintage 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in 3-Color Sunburst finish. Fender's Jazzmaster was introduced in 1958, and at the time was the most expensive guitar available from the manufacturer. It was intended for jazz players, and as such had several features intended to ingratiate itself with them. This included the offset waist, which made the guitar sit more comfortably on the leg when playing in a seated position as jazz guitarists often do. The Jazzmaster was the first Fender instrument to feature a Rosewood fingerboard, emulating the more traditional jazz guitars. The new 'rhythm circuit' produced a dark, mellow tone that Leo Fender thought would be perfect for smooth jazz lines. The instrument even had a completely new floating 'tremolo' design- which of course produces a vibrato effect- that had a locking mechanism to improve tuning stability when the tremolo wasn't in use. The Jazzmaster was ultimately discontinued in 1980 after years of dwindling sales. The instrument never caught on with its target market of Jazz players, but was very successful amongst surf rockers. In later years the instruments gained popularity in alternative scenes such as new wave, shoegaze & grunge. The serial number & specification of this guitar indicate that it was manufactured in 1965, with several indicating factors that point towards its completion in early/mid 1965. These include the neck stamp '4FEB65B' which indicates the neck was style 4 (Jazzmaster), stamped in Feb '65 & was of standard profile (B). It's widely accepted that 'L' serial numbers left the factory between '63 & '65. The lack of nail or clamping holes indicates the guitar was finished after 1964 when the holes were no longer required due to the use of a drying tree. The pot codes are easily legible, and read the 50th week of '63 & 08th week of '65. Fender kept their parts in large batches so it's quite reasonable for a guitar to have pots from different years. The headstock logo is the transitional logo rather than the 'Spaghetti Logo' that was in use until around '64. The fingerboard is inlaid with clay dots, rather than the pearloid dots which were introduced around late '64. There were always crossovers with some of these features, and this, amongst the other factors outlined above are strong signs that this instrument was produced right around the transition to the commonly accepted '65 spec. The Maple neck plays fantastically well, with a profile that feels somewhat like an even 'C' shape. This encourages ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers & ensures comfortable playability across the neck. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale. The wear to the rear of the neck, as well as the light fingerboard wear and gentle battle scarring to the body add to the vintage feel & vibe of the instrument, and make it very inspiring in the hands. The offset body with generous cutaways...9030,00 £*Shipping: 0,00 £Secure redirect to the provider

Fender 60th Anniversary Triple Jazzmaster Daphne Blue 2018 Electric Guitar blue - RefurbishedThis is a Fender 60th Anniversary Triple Jazzmaster Electric Guitar in Daphne Blue finish. Made in the USA in 2018, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Jazzmaster/Jaguar Bridge with a Vintage-Style Floating Tremolo, Vintage-style Tuners, Chrome hardware, and three Tim Shaw Designed Custom Humbucking Pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, a 5-way pickup selector, and an all-pickups-on switch (middle position only). The Maple neck plays very well, with the 60s Oval 'C' shape profile filling the hand nicely for an authentically vintage-inspired yet articulate playing experience across the register. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale, and along with the offset body design and generous cutaway the full 21 fret range of the instrument is easily accessible. The offset body is supremely comfortable in both standing and seated positions, and allows for convenient placement of the extensive controls, ensuring that everything is within easy reach without being intrusive to the playing experience. The trio of Tim Shaw Designed Custom Humbuckers installed in this guitar offer a full and thick tone, exactly as you would expect from their 'Filter-tron' counterparts. The humbucker in the neck delivers a warm low end, driving mids and rounded yet clear high frequencies, perfect for rock solo tones. The middle pickup provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst offering strat-esque quack in positions “2 and 4” of the 5-way blade switch. The humbucker in the bridge is hotter and provides a bright tone that saturates beautifully into distortion as you crank the gain, easily cutting through the mix. The wiring offers comprehensive control of your tone without over-complicating things whilst adding an authentically vintage feel to the playing experience.1590,00 £*Shipping: 0,00 £Secure redirect to the provider
